About Us

Sheron Farm was originally settled by the Dempster family in 1916 and over the years the property has been used for dairying, potato growing, hay cropping and cattle farming. Encompassing over 650 hectares of rolling hills covered with stands of jarrah and marri trees, spring fed dams, 60 Ha of irrigated pastures, and views across the coastal sandplain to the Indian Ocean and down to the City of Bunbury, the property is as picturesque as it is productive.

Jim and Julia Moore purchased Sheron Farm in 2013 as a means of expanding their Blue Wren Hills Angus stud located at nearby Cookernup. An intensive upgrade program to buildings, water supplies, fencing, and pastures has been overseen by Stud Managers, Steve and Sandy Elliot who came to Sheron in 2014 with a lifetime of experience in both the cattle and grain industries.

The original Blue Wren Hills stud Angus herd has been expanded with Bulls from Diamond Tree, cows from Strathtay, and a large AI program, with the first major offering of Sheron bulls occurring in early 2017. The Angus Stud operation is complemented by a large commercial Angus herd.

Sheron Farm also runs a commercial line of cows, which are managed the same as the stud cattle. The proof is in the breeding. Over the past 7years our weaner steers are sold 6 weeks after weaning and have fetch top dollars at the sales. The steers are only grass fed no pellets or grain.

In the future Sheron Farm will continue to move forward always improving the herd, so the farmer can be confident that the bulls they purchase will enhance their herd by producing good growth animals.
